Media Planner
The Media Planner plays a key role in developing and executing integrated media strategies and campaigns across traditional and digital channels. Working closely with Associate Media Directors, Media Directors, and Media Buyers, this role contributes to media planning efforts by helping translate client objectives into media recommendations, planning deliverables, and performance insights.
The ideal candidate has 2+ years of agency experience and combines critical thinking with exceptional attention to detail. Success in this role requires someone who is organized, proactive, client-focused, and who excels in managing campaign details, budgets, reporting, and planning deliverables.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain organized account documentation, planning materials, budget trackers, flowcharts, project timelines, and other key account resources.
Ensure all client-facing materials, media plans, budgets, and campaign details are accurate, complete, and ready for delivery.
Support client communications by providing accurate information, timely updates, and well-prepared planning materials.
Manage campaign budgets, allocations, spending, pacing, billing details, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and alignment with approved plans.
Coordinate campaign launches, timelines, and deliverables across internal teams and media partners.
Prepare meeting agendas, recaps, status updates, and supporting materials.
Participate in client meetings and status calls, gaining client exposure while supporting senior team members with updates, recommendations, and follow-up actions.
Build strong working relationships with media partners, vendors, clients, and internal teams to support collaboration and campaign execution.
Support the development of integrated media plans across traditional and digital channels.
Conduct audience, competitive, category, and marketplace research to inform planning recommendations.
Analyze consumer behavior, media consumption habits, campaign performance, and industry trends to identify insights and opportunities.
Contribute research, recommendations, and strategic thinking to planning discussions, client presentations, and agency initiatives.
Stay current on media, technology, consumer, and industry trends.
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES
Approximately 2 years of agency, account support, media planning, or related marketing experience.
Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, spreadsheets, and financial details accurately.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
Experience developing planning materials, presentations, and campaign recommendations.
Understanding of traditional and digital media channels.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Familiarity with media planning, reporting, and research tools preferred.
Ability to build effective relationships with clients, media partners, and internal teams.
